Well, here I am again. This, I guess, will be my "online" diary. I may be the only person that ever reads this. Oh well. They say journaling is therapeutic.
Anyone who says human nature and tendencies are basically good have never spent a week with three small children. I have not noticed the seven year old or the five year old bending over backwards to give back toys that are not theirs, or to share just for the pure joy of sharing. As or the one year old, there's human nature in the raw. I'm not saying that I don't love them, because I most certainly do. But as my pastor always points out, folks who argue against the total depravity of man, are not really seeing reality.
I'm so very glad that we don't have to be good enough before we can come to God. Rather, He sees us as we truly are, reveals to us that he sent Jesus to cleanse us, and when we accept this free gift, he begins the process of changing us and molding us to the image of his Son. Big Hallelujah!
Anyways, we have just finished lunch. Matthew is watching Scooby Doo and Amber is taking her nap. The kitchen is a mess and so is the living room. So all is as it should be, right?
If you have a few minutes, go to the Word. It amazes me how I always get something from my daily reading that applies to my day. Another thing that is great is to tune in to a Christian radio station. In my area it is Kinship Christian Radio at KJYL-FM 100.7 FM. They also have a web-site. I am going to try to add some of my favorite links to this blog. First, however, I will have to figure out how to do that.
Take care and God bless you!
