Hello dear bloggers, Wednesday
Today was the first day of our Wesley Ladies Bible Study. I was sooooo nervous. I really wanted to do a good job as I am the facilitator and it at my home. It is starting out as a small group. This morning I had four ladies, with phone calls from two others saying they will be coming next week but couldn't make it today. Some of the greatest things started out small, right? Anyways, I have given this group totally to the Lord, and I trust that He will do with it what He wants to do. I have discovered in life that the best thing to do sometimes, (actually most of the time) is to step out of the way and let God do his thing. Not that we are never required to act, but let Him do the leading.
We are beginning with the Gospel of John. Pastor Kevin, (my Pastor) gave me a great commentary on John by James Montgomery Boyce. It's terrific, only problem is that it is about 1500 pages long. Pretty much each VERSE is a chapter in his commentary. I could sit all day and read stuff like that, but then reading is about all I would get done. Which wouldn't sit too well with my family. I will try my very best to read as much as I can.
The Lord is so good to me. It always amazes me how such a great God can be so merciful and kind to me, when so many times in my life I hold grudges, or say unkind, unthoughful things. I am glad he is so forgiving.
Take Care.....
Mary
