The Greatest Treasure

Everyone seems to be searching for something...there are countless books, products, activities and formulas in our modern world which are "guaranteed" to make us happy. But our souls will only be happy when they come home to their maker and make him their boss and treasure.

That is what it means to make Jesus Christ your Lord and Saviour. Will everything in your life automatically be "fixed"? Probably not, but you will be on the right track! And your soul will find peace for the journey because your destination will be settled!

...for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that He is able to guard until that day what has been entrusted to me. 2 Timothy 1:12b

Life Chain

Today many across the nation joined together to stand for the rights of the unborn, to pray for an end to abortion and healing for the countless women who have suffered from abortion.  May the good Lord have mercy on us and hear our prayer.

How His heart must ache when He sees all the pain caused by such an evil practice.  Abortion hurts EVERYONE.  A child is robbed of life, a women suffers mental pain, guilt and anguish and sometimes partial or permanent injury.  Our nation looses a potential contributing citizen and I think we loose a little of our dignity with each abortion as well.

I am in no way aiming to condemn anyone who, in a feeling of hopelessness, had an abortion.  My heart goes out to you and I pray that you turn to the Lord for healing and forgiveness.  God is so good.

Please, please, pray for an end to abortion...and as my pastor always adds, pray that it would become UN-THINKABLE!!!!!!
